Details

Crochet knit shorts sit high on the waist, with an elastic drawstring to cinch them in. They are made for summer, and the high rise pairs well with a cropped or tucked-in top. Crochet gives the legs a textured surface instead of a flat one.

Pick one of five colors, black, white, green, khaki or coral red, in any of three sizes from S to L. Khaki and black go with most tops; coral red is the brighter pick.

For a day out, add a small backpack and a loose short-sleeve top. For the evening, switch to block heels and a fitted camisole. Both looks carry over to a beach holiday, from lunch on the sand to dinner on the terrace.
